About the Site

Midsummer Faire is held in the Hopkinton Fair Grounds in Contoocook New Hampshire.  It is a large facility with large expanses of flat, grassy areas for camping. There is running water, flush toilets, and showers available on site We have access to a number of large buildings that we can use to hold portions of the event should the weather turn against us. The main parking area is within easy walking distance to the camping and activities. The web site for the fair grounds is:

http://www.hsfair.org

This gives you some overview of the facility. We had very good reviews on the event last year because it was a very "relaxed, fun, hang around and do an much or as little as you want" event. With all the large, hectic events during the summer months, we feel a laid back event like ours is a nice change.

A word from the Autocrat

Greetings Good Gentles, let me be the first to welcome you to this years Midsummers Faire: Ali Babba and the Vikings.  We hope you enjoy your visit and help us make this safe and enjoyable event for everyone involved.

A couple of points I would like to mention:

1) Pets are welcome at this event, although we ask that you keep them leashed at all times for the safety of your animal and others.  Voice commands are not adequate and any pet found running free will be ejected from the site along with its owner.

2) The site has a policy prohibiting ground fires.  Any fires should be up off the ground in a proper brazier.  We are being issued a fire permit daily, so it is very possible we may not be allowed a fire at all depending on weather conditions.

3) Please pickup any trash you may have brought with you.  Dumpsters are available onsite for your convenience.

4) Many buildings onsite are private property. Please do not play in or around these facilties.
